Portfolio
Amaze has customers in various segments. Some of the projects we have worked on are listed below according to the various segments. Click on the headings of each segment to browse to a more detailed description of some projects.
Education
Amaze boasts in-depth experience in the application of ICT within educational organisations, varying from network and system management to Content Management and e-Learning. Some of our customers include partnerships such as such as Ict at School and international projects such as Pronett. Moreover, people who work at Amaze have themselves been active in ICT within the educational sector. We therefore know what it means to not only facilitate the information and communication process, but also how to apply ICT within the primary educational process.
Politics, government and the environment
Within this segment, Amaze has successfully completed a number of projects relating to infrastructure as well as to interactive web environments. We delivered the technical infrastructure for a portal for UWV, the largest social security provider in the Netherlands, and the Dutch political party GroenLinks asked Amaze to develop its entire Content Management system and new member administration system.
Small and medium-sized businesses
Amaze is extremely active in the small and medium-sized business sector. From the moment it was founded, Amaze has acquired a wealth of experience in linking existing small and medium-sized business environments to an Open Source content management solution. Our customers include De Nationale Botenbank (database for boats on sale in the Benelux), De Makelaars Botenbank (database for yacht brokers in the Netherlands), the online LP store Vinylsale and the online company directory Qlik. Amaze has also carried out network and system-related projects for Symbols and MattMo, for example. An integration process with various operating systems has also been carried out for Marco Klein + Partners, in which Microsoft, Apple and Unix systems share files and printers via a Linux file server.
Media, art and culture
Amaze has sponsored the Cinekid festival for many years and has expanded its customer portfolio in the meantime by working for organisations such as De Balie (a centre for theatre, politics and culture located in Amsterdam), Theater uit Vlaanderen (an organisation responsible for promoting Flemish theatre companies on tour in the Netherlands), the Amsterdam Uitburo (a marketing and services body that provides a ticketing service for concerts, plays and events in Amsterdam) and the former Radio10. The assignments vary from technical analysis to system management and Content Management.
Community
Amaze does not only use Open Source software but is also personally active in the Open Source communities for the products that are used. Amaze, for example, sponsored the EuroPython 2003 congress and provided an extensive free online environment for Zope sites (www.freezope.org). Several components developed by Amaze have also been released as Open Source software (for example, the 'ArcheRecipes' provided by Amaze that can be installed as a package for Plone.
