Job opening for a Developer
Amaze is looking for a skilled developer with a knowledge of Zope, Plone or Python.
Tasks
Quality and professionalism are your aims and you feel comfortable working in an informal organisation. You will be deployed in CMS-related projects developed in Zope and Plone and will report to the Project Manager. During projects, you will be responsible for:
* Designing and developing components in Zope, Plone and Python
* Testing components
* Examining existing components
* Participating in the development of framework solutions
Requirements
Amaze is a small and informal company that tackles projects in a professional manner. Our customer portfolio includes small and medium-sized companies, interest groups, educational and public institutions. Given the importance that we attach to quality and flexibility, we have laid down several requirements that new employees must meet:
* A higher education degree at least
* Experience in at least one of the following fields: Zope, Plone, Python
* Java (J2EE) or Delphi experience is a pre
* Projects are carried out in a team and value is attached to individuals who can work independently
* Experience in the development of CMS environments
* Knowledge of Open Source and Open Standards
* Familiarity with modern methods relating to functional and technical design (including UML)

Job opening for a Systems Manager
We are looking for a Systems Manager with a thorough knowledge of Linux to manage and maintain Amaze’s infrastructure.
Tasks
Your primary tasks will entail managing and maintaining Debian Linux servers, setting up hosting environments and configuring mail servers.
You will work in an informal environment in which professionalism and quality are paramount. You will focus on supporting primary processes within Amaze, which will require flexibility. You will also be familiar with Zope and Plone, the Content Management Systems provided by Amaze.
Your tasks will include:
* Setting up servers
* Setting up hosting environments
* Setting up DNS/mail/user accounts
* Log verification
* Performing backups
* Processing domain requests
* Responding to questions put forward by users
* Resolving user problems
Requirements
Amaze is looking for people with knowledge of the following areas at least:
* Linux/Unix
* Apache setups
* General network knowledge
* General system management
* Basic knowledge of shell scripting
* Raid, software as well as hardware
* Installation and maintenance of software from source
Desired knowledge/expertise
Experience in or knowledge of the following is highly recommended:
* Apache2
* Mod_proxy, mod_*
* Squid, forward as well as reverse proxy
* LDAP
* SNMP
* Debian Linux, server as well as desktop
